As part of the regulatory process, federal and state agencies regularly request public input on proposed activities. The Nanotechnology Panel submits comments on relevant regulatory activities, which are publicly available through the federal government.

1. September 23, 2016: The Nanotechnology Panel comments on the U.S. National Nanotechnology Initiative’s draft 2016 strategic plan.

2. September 23, 2016: The Nanotechnology Panel responds to the Canadian government’s public consultation on how to prioritize manufactured nanomaterials for evaluation.

10. July 24, 2012: The Nanotechnology Panel comments on the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) draft guidance to industry titled “Guidance for Industry: Safety of Nanomaterials in Cosmetic Products” (FDA-2011-D-0489).

11. January 27, 2012: The Nanotechnology Panel comments on EPA’s proposed significant new use rules (SNURs) under section 5(a)(2) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for the chemical substances rutile, tin zinc, calcium-doped (CAS No. 389623–01–2) and rutile, tin zinc, sodium-doped (CAS No. 389623–07–8) published in the December 28, 2011 edition of the Federal Register, docket EPA–HQ–OPPT–2010–1075.

12. August 17, 2011: The Nanotechnology Panel (jointly submitted with the ACC Biocides Panel) comments on EPA‘s proposed policy statement concerning the collection of information about the presence of nanomaterials in pesticide products, docket EPA–HQ–OPP–2010–0197.
