WASHINGTON (February 9, 2017) – Some individual American Chemistry Council (ACC) Petroleum Additives Panel (PAP) members have publically discussed the state of the current automotive/lubricant industry specification process, and the need for change led by cross-industry stakeholders. In order to facilitate progress, the ACC PAP has designated a special working group, Automotive Lubricant Initiative Task Group (ALITG), which will aggregate the positions of the ACC member companies and initiate engagement with the other industry stakeholders on developing a plan on how to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our industry processes. The ACC looks forward to working with industry stakeholders in the near future as a team to implement change that will improve our industry’s processes.
