In her capacity as Vice President of Responsible Care and Value Chain Outreach at the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Ms. Phillips is responsible for the management of ACC’s Responsible Care initiative, a comprehensive environmental, health, safety and security performance program implemented by all ACC members. She also oversees ACC’s value chain outreach initiative aimed at engaging the chemicals value chain to promote science-based decision-making surrounding value chain chemical selection and use.

Ms. Phillips also serves as the Secretariat for the International Council of Chemical Association’s Responsible Care Leadership Group, which sets and carries out the programmatic direction of the global Responsible Care initiative within its 60 participating economies.

Prior to joining ACC in 2000, Ms. Phillips worked as an environment, health, and safety professional in both the chemical and pulp and paper industries.

Ms. Phillips received a master’s degree in environmental toxicology from Duke University and an undergraduate degree in biology from Albright College.
