Anne Kolton

As Vice President of Communications of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Anne Womack Kolton is responsible for overseeing ACC’s communications department. Her responsibilities include developing and guiding the association’s outreach, both internally to our members, and externally to the media and public. Ms. Kolton serves as the key strategic communications advisor to ACC’s President and CEO, Cal Dooley, and to the ACC Board of Directors.

Prior to joining ACC, Ms. Kolton was a Senior Vice President at APCO Worldwide, where she was the global head of the financial services practice. Ms. Kolton provided strategic communications, and media and government relations counsel to a range of clients, primarily from the energy and financial services industries.

Ms. Kolton has previously served in a variety of communications leadership positions for the Brunswick Group, BP, the U.S. Department of Energy, Vice President Dick Cheney, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Texas Attorney General John Cornyn, and President George W. Bush.

Ms. Kolton is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and is a native of Nashville, Tenn.
